I’ve noticed that lightly swiping the touchpad up or down (for opening or closing the overview respectively) can sometimes result in the gesture starting, but then being cancelled. Perhaps this is intentional, but in my opinion it would feel a bit more natural if there was less ‘resistance’ to the activation of the Overview gesture. Could this be done?
This sounds almost exactly like the “threshold” setting provided by this Kwin extension, you could try setting a lower threshold value for the up/down gestures: kwin-gestures/docs/configuration.md at main · taj-ny/kwin-gestures · GitHub
Unfortunately, touchpad gestures in Wayland are quite unfinished and hardcoded in C, so this extension is the best current solution for Wayland gesture customization .
