Mouse cursor in different colors

I like the feature on Windows that lets you freely choose the mouse cursor color. I got used to having different cursor colors for different accounts (private, work, DJ). Also, I like my desktop to have some specks of vivid color, and the mouse pointer is a good choice for that.

In KDE, this is only possible by installing a different cursor theme. Unfortunately, most themes only have one or two colors: black and white. In fact, I haven’t found any that are purple or light green. And plenty other colorful ones are old and only feature low resolution images, making the cursor tiny on my laptop’s 4K screen.

I guess to support such a feature, KDE first would have to support vector-based mouse cursors? Is there even a standard for that? However, that would greatly reduce the effort for creating different sized bitmaps, and at the same time allow for insanely large mouse cursors (accessibility!).

They are already supported. As far as I know, it is possible to have icons colored with the accent-color. Maybe this could be achieved in the same way…
