Multi-finger touchpad gestures like Windows

Swipe three fingers down to minimize all windows ,
Swipe three fingers right or left to change active windows
Swipe three fingers up to restore all minimized windows

These kind of gestures are supported by nearly all touchpads on every distro after tinkering and adding 3rd party packages like https://github_com/JoseExposito/touchegg

Can we get these features inbuilt inside kde-plasma and enabled by default like other two finger gestures?

Demo

I think there is some progress, but it is quite difficult for developers to add this functionality so that it works well for everyone. Also touchegg doesn’t work on wayland. And the main direction of kde is wayland.

Yes, Touchegg is finnicky on wayland

I use fusuma (kdotool, wmctrl) for wayland. But it isn’t good experience.

Nice , I think it will take long time to develop that for wayland

Touchpad gestures have been added to Plasma Wayland in version 5.25 (Plasma 5.25 - KDE Community) and have been slightly reworked in Plasma 6. Unfortunately, they aren’t yet configurable.

Hoping to see customizations and defaults usaully found on other major OS

Asking for specific gestures is not the solution. 3 and 4 finger gestures already exist in Plasma. The problem is that, at this time, there is no way to configure what these gestures do.

Gesture settings are long over due :frowning_with_open_mouth:
