Thank you for taking the time to read this. This issue has literally been driving me crazy, has had me revert back to X11 and then deal with the issues there, but atleast i don’t have to restart my pc multiple times a day. Ok this is the issue. Multi monitor setup with 1920x1080 resolution on left side and 2560x1440 with 240 hz on each monitor on the right side.
I’m on cachyos arch linux kernel 6.13.1-2 on nvidia 3090 with drivers 570.86.16. I typically like to put a browser or program on my left monitor so i can watch videos while i work on stuff, and for the past few months, with no idea how or why, the left monitor will detach from the session it seems, cause if i click on the program in the task bar, a shadow appears like the window is going to the monitor, but the screen never changes, also i can’t move my mouse that side of the screen.
i’ve seen it happen both ways tho, sometimes my mouse gets stuck on the left screen, sometimes on the right screen, but closing the program does nothing. i have to tty into another run session and then back for it to fix itself. I did try to catch logs at one point, but not sure if the logs are what is causing the issue, but i did pull them right after it happened.
Keep getting “Page flip kwin time out” message. Only thing i can say for sure is it does not happen on X11.
Has anyone come across this? i’m desperate for your advice and help. Thank you.
