Hi.
I think Plasma 6 multi-display handling should be refined. Please let me ask your opinion.
- Current behavior: Plasma 6 forgets the Display arrangement when it switches the Display configuration.
- Expected behavior: Plasma 6 restores the display arrangement.
How to reproduce:
Assume we have two displays in one system. One is an internal display, and the other is an external display.
- Arrange the two displays in a vertical direction.
- Type Ctrl-P to invoke the display arrange panel. Select “External Only”.
- Tyen, type Ctrl-P. Choose “Extend to the right of the built-in screen.
- So, the vertical arrangement is lost. Enforced to be horizontal.
I think this menu should be refined to simply “Extended screen” or “Extended desktop”. And refer to the saved arrangement of the last extended screen configuration, instead of enforcing a horizontal arrangement.
