“I always get this error when I install KDE Neon offline; it works fine online. I always try each new .ISO, and it still happens. I’m still on Debian waiting for them to fix that, but nothing has changed.”
I had seen that error on installs in the past, but each install was actually completed and fully functional – as far as I can tell the cleanup was also completed, as well.
I am using one of those to reply here, but that was installed in October.
My laptop, which has a more current install didn’t have the error, but is still from just before your listed ISO dates.
The context you have here may be helpful to add as a comment on that bug report, along with any information you can provide about your system setup. I’d assume that any information about your disk partitioning would be especially relevant there.
I agree. I have seen this error in the past, but the installation was perfectly fine, and I think even the cleanup parts were actually done. It would still be a bug, mind you.
So, more information might be helpful.
Running the installer with the log window showing might give much better info on the error. The little icon on the bottom right of the progress bar toggles that off and on, and there will be log files somewhere.
I’ll be testing this as I am going to do an install later today. I almost always do mine offline.
