Neon Install along side of OCLP MacOS 14.8.3 Sonoma (not showing up at "Option" startup)

First time NEON user (but not first time Unix/Linux user).

I’m attempting to install KDE Neon onto a 27” iMac (late 2012) with a 1T SSDD, running OpenCore MacOS 14.8.3 Sonoma in order to have both OS available at power up. I’ve partitioned 700G for MacOS and 300G for Neon. Both installs seem to have successfully completed, but when I attempt to access the Neon, no EFI is available.

The 700G partition is formatted as APS (Apple) and the 300G partition was originally formatted as MS DOS (an Apple requirement), but during the Neon install, the 300G partition was re-formatted for NEON ext4.

Gemini is suggesting that the OCLP EFI is partitioned as a 200MB slice and that NEON requires a 300MB slice for the EFI, and therefore refusing to “hook into” the boot EFI registry.

Any guidance or suggestion here would be very much appreciated.
