New version of KMyMoney?

Hello KMyMoney Team,

I’m having trouble saving the end date in a future transaction using version 5.2.1.
The result is always “garbage.”

I then tried it with the current AppImage “kmymoney-master-5257-linux-gcc-x86_64.appimage,” and it worked.
But when I reopened the saved file with 5.2.1, the same problem occurred again.

Surely I shouldn’t have to manually enter the date in my calendar… I can do it, but it’s not ideal.

Question:
Is there any indication of when a truly new version (5.2.2?) will be released?
It’s already been half a year since 5.2.1, and there have been fixes and new features since then.
Where are they? I think it’s really about time.

FYI:
I don’t have the means to compile the latest version myself.
And one thing I definitely won’t do… work with an AppImage in a production environment (also because of SQL cipher version 3).

Regards,
Udo

In Germany they have a term for that: Fachkräftemangel  Where are those volunteers helping out?

Hi Thomas,

My Answer in German:

Mein Chef hat immer gesagt:
“Der Tag hat 26 Stunden, und dann noch die Nacht…”

Grüsse und einen schönen (stressfreien) Abend.

Regards
Udo

I know this one from a former supervisor of mine (though based on a 24 hour day and night). But all of that time is already taken by my day job

Update: KMyMoney 5.2.2 released | KMyMoney

Hi Thomas,

You’re a god!! :slightly_smiling_face:

And it’s already in the KDE:Extra repository.

I’ll take a look at it later.

Now you can rest… but only until the next version. :innocent:

Regards
Udo
