Newbie Q: Where can I post feature requests to KDE Connect SMS?

I love using KDE. It is my main daily desktop. I want to post new feature requests for KDE Connect. Is this the right forum?

I think there is a separate KDE Gear forum somewhere. Please guide as necessary.

Not really. Go to

and post your request there. In the “Severity” drop down, pick the “wishlist” option.

Thanks for the reply. What I have is a feature request (not a bug) which I would find useful. Should I still use the same bugtracking page link?

Yes. As mentioned, when indicating the “severity”, choose “wishlist”.

Just out of curiosity, Would this place, discuss.kde.org, be a better place to have a discussion for feature requests? I feel it would also be more convenient for end users?

To have a discussion, sure, why not? It is likely that nothing will come of it, though.

If you want to request a feature, as OP mentioned in the original message, and have developers actually consider it, you have to create a bug report as described above.
