On my PC which is currently using Neon and X11, it’s just done the 6.1 update to KDE, and now when I log in, I get black screens on my monitors. There’s a mouse cursor, and I can use shortcuts to get the terminal open.
If I run sudo pkcon update, I get an error about unmet dependancies for
kf6-kfilemetadata. I don’t know if this is related, but any suggestions?

I’ve managed to sort it… I remember having the same problem when 6.0 came out.
Slightly different fix, but I had to apt autoremove the old packages then pkcon upgrade to get all the correct versions.

I’m getting the same issue, but apt autoremove and pkcon update don’t seem to have done the trick. 
It seems to be an issue with plasmashell trying and failing to start.
