No server search for local fastest and crashes

I can not believe that still, after many years Discover still has crash issues. Using non-KDE Manjaro, Mint and other distros their update manager is rock solid.

Plus those other distros have a way to use a GUI to search for the fastest server located in your country of origin.

I don’t understand why?

I’ve written a few blog posts may help to explain things.

First, from a general perspective: “Why don’t you just fix [thing] already?” – Adventures in Linux and KDE.

Next, in slightly more technical detail: Where bugfixes and new features come from – Adventures in Linux and KDE

Hopefully those help to shed light on how development and resource prioritization work in a mostly-volunteer-based open-source community.
