Not able to print a text to a 'printer'

Hello,

Why aren’t I’m able to print a selected text to a ‘physical’ printer?
The only option Kate shows it’s to print to pdf?

I’m running Kate v 25.04.0 on Linux Mint.

And Yes, I have two physical printers attached in the network and using them all the time.

I have my default printer in kate. I also have 25.04.0 (on openSuSE TW) but not more physical printers.

if you click on the desktop and type printers, then go to the settings page that comes up in the search results, do you see your printer listed?

if you go to print preview in kate and click on the printer icon, do you see your printer listed there by name or is it set to pdf

You may need to add your printer to the system first using the System Settings app.

I was away fora few days and now I was testing the print again and now the printers showing up in the print dialog.
Have no clue what has changed in the meantime.
However, thank you for responding.
