Hello everyone,
I’ve been getting a black screen for some time now when I start OBS Studio to record the screen. I use Kde Neon Plasma6. I don’t have any external graphics cards. I use a mini PC from Geekom, which is very powerful. It has built-in graphics (please see screenshot with system info). I’m still unfamiliar with the graphics settings in Linux and don’t know how? In Windows you change the settings there and then it works. In Linux, as far as I’ve researched, it’s because of Wayland and 11X. Every time I have to log off and log in again with the x11 environment. Isn’t there an easier solution??? or an alternative program for screen recording other than (SimpleScreenRecorde)r. That doesn’t work for me either. Thank you very much

Spectacle does screen recording.
For OBS, it needs a full pipewire/wireplumber setup for screen recording in Wayland. Ubuntu 22.04 does not have this, though one can upgrade to this via third-party sources. I have been doing this pretty much since the upgrade to 22.04 and my move to wayland full-time.
This won’t be an issue when neon migrates to using 24.04, soon-ish.
