Okular and attachements

Hello, I am making some pdfs using TeX and I attach some other pdfs inside the main one (using attachfile.sty). When the main pdf is opened with okular and I click on the icon/link of the attached pdf, okular offers to save the attached pdf and does not offer to open it. Other apps, like atril open the attached pdf (as well as acrobat on Windows). Is this behavior a setting in okular’s configuration which I miss?

My okular version is 24.08.1 on Manjaro Linux.
I may provide such a pdf if needed.

Hmm, can’t reproduce it. If I click on the pdf attachment inside a pdf, okular opens it in a new tab.

Hmm, so it either needed to Restore defaults or the pdfs I produce have some problem. Could you please check the following mwe pdf?

And are you with version 24.08?

Maybe my TeX setup needs adjustment. My command is

\textattachfile[author=AT,description=alternative-proof,mimetype=application/pdf]{attachment.pdf}{Click me!}

Is mimetype OK?

I inserted a space after https:// because the forum here does not allow me to enter links. So you have to delete it to see the test.pdf

Okular 4.22.12. But um, either it’s the wrong link or that file is empty.

No it is not empty. The file is correct. Okular sees the attachment and offers to save it. Browser pdf plugin can not handle attachments probably. The file works with both atril on Linux and Adobe Reader and Foxit on Windows. And it also works with okular but only to save the attachment.

I have the same behaviour, okular 24.08.3
when I click on the link it offers me to save the attached pdf file “bolzanoweierstrass.pdf”

in Firefox if I double click it opens the file in another tab

OK, so this is reproducible. If there is no some strange setting I miss, I will file a bug report. I will wait a day or so if someone has any idea about proper configuration.
