Okular doesn't bring up file dialog to add image

I struggled with how exactly to word my topic. I’m not trying to do a stamp. I can’t attach a file since this is a new account, but this form Tales of the Valiant: Form-Fillable Character Sheet (PDF) - Kobold Press Store has a location for an image on page 2. If you “show forms” in Okular it shows as a square above character appearance. If I try and click on that square nothing happens. If I load the PDF in adobe acrobat on Windows, clicking on there opens up a file dialog and I can set an image to appear there. Bringing that PDF back to Linux/Okular SHOWS the image, but I cannot change it.

Is this a setting I need to toggle somewhere or should I file a bug on kde’s bugzilla?

note: I also tried using Okular from flathub (latest version as of today) and it has the same issue.

if you want to actually edit a pdf, try using libre office (draw) instead of okular.

Thanks for the advice. It’s a much worse interface than Okular. It’s a bummer that Adobe stopped supporting acrobat for linux
