OKULAR - New file - is missing aka NOT possible

Hello , i am using LUBUNTU and was looking for a smaller piece of software as Libre office.

In the past i was using ABI word and it was enough.

NOW at Lubuntu i installed OKULAR and tried to write my first letter .

So i and you and everybody need the option - NEW FILE -

BUT this option is missing ! - NOT available !

Even NOT understandable for me :slight_smile:

IMPORT the documents from LIBRE-OFFICE is not possible !

Next i searched the maintainer with the wish and the hope he / she or another human can repair this mistake . . . . .

BUT the ONLY thing i found was this forum . . . .

So if somebody is reading this post - PLEASE send it to the maintainer and i HOPE that the mistakes will be corrected . . .

Okular is a document viewer, not an editor.

It can fill form fields in PDFs but can’t create totally new documents.

there are a ton of text editors to chose from in the software store, but okular is not one of them.

are you trying to create PDF documents?

libre office Draw is what you would normally use for that task, but there are other PDF creation editors to choose from as well.

maybe something like Scribus or inkscape is what you are looking for if you don’t like libre office draw.

There is too Onlyoffice. There is a built-in PDF viewer/editor.
It’s heavier than LibreOffice Draw. But I find it more efficient
