Hi,
I’m not sure, maybe i dream it, but i thought that Okular get split option (don’t really know the name).
I’m reading tech documentation and need to see 2 different page of that document at same time to avoid going up/down for lot of page. On windows, i used FoxIt reader, but it doesn’t exist on linux and i have some problem using it on wine.
If Okular don’t have split option, do someone know a pdf reader, with tabs for each .pdf, which can do it ?
Thanks in advance,
kate and dolphin have spit views (either side by side or top and bottom) but i thin what you are looking for is something like the freeze view in excel where you can have a separate vertical scroll bar for different parts of the document.
that would be a nice feature.
Split views is not avalaible anymore in okular.
You can:
- use konqueror
-
Use Vivaldi browser : open your pdf in two tabs and juxtapose them
-
Install FoxIt Reader: Foxit Reader now available on Mac and Linux and How to
Hi,
There is a reason why it is not available anymore in okular ?
Using a browser for pdf is little bit too much only for reading pdf, but if no other solution …
The Foxit linux version is from 2015 which is a little bit old. They don’t support it anymore
Thanks for reply.
@skyfishgoo exactly. Looks like no “only” pdf reader do it on linux.
this is an obama era feature request.
feel free to chime in
this, but with a PDF.
