Is there any feature in Linux related to OLED display care, like pixel shift, pixel dimming, or something similar? I’m considering switching back to Linux, but I’m unsure how convenient it would be due to my laptop’s OLED display (an Asus Zenbook 14X). At the moment, I’m sticking with Windows mainly for the OLED care features.
Pixel shift is a monitor feature, I can see it happening on KDE.
The most difficult thing to get right was fringing, where the top of white text on dark background would appear green and the bottom red.
This is fixed by using a patched version of freetype2. Search for freetype2-qdoled on Arch AUR.
