Getting the online bank data via kmymoney is not working (as so many things in kmymoney).
Why is kmymoney not using the wealthapi.eu api?
Getting the online bank data via KMyMoney is working for me with 6 different banks and paypal. I admit, some things may have problems, but your global statement (so many things) is just outrageous.
Because we at KDE respect privacy and user’s freedom and don’t want third parties involved when it comes to private data. The service you mention (as many other FinTechs) is just a man in the middle between you and your bank and sees all data of your transactions. On top of that, wealthapi.eu is a B2B service, but KMyMoney is a consumer application.

thanks for the response, but i dont share your view on “outrageous”. After weeks of trying intesively, browsing, reinstalling, configuring, etc. not a single of my banks can be connected online. Documentation not available, unresponsive interfaces, unclear messages.
I understand you do not like this reality, but facts are facts.
Ok, understand your point on privacy and user freedom. The user now has a choice of non-working online connection even after weeks of hacking and trying, or going to a tool such as finanzfluss that works with 3 clicks with a man in the middle and privacy concerns. Neither option is very attractive.

I understand your frustration and people here on the forum are certainly willing to help out where ever they can. Regarding “Documentation not available, unresponsive interfaces, unclear messages.” I need to mention, that KMyMoney here is only the messenger.
KMyMoney uses the software of a separate project to provide the access to the HBCI interface (from your messages, I suspect you talk about German banks). Maybe, you search their resources for some answers. They even provide it in German (only). Unfortunately, they only show howto use their command line interface to do the setup.
The GnuCash De/Onlinebanking-Einrichtungsassistent may help you to move forward, since they also use the above mentioned software as KMyMoney does.
