after some update, my little dialogs/on-scree-display/OSD for brightness and volume levels are gone.
still get notifications, but they are different window styles.

I don’t see a single option anywhere for OSD. Not even sure how to debug this.

Hi - could you share a screenshot of those different window styles you’re seeing?
And are those window styles showing up in place of the regular OSDs, or are the regular OSDs totally gone and those window styles are being used for regular notifications (e.g. new mail)?
it’s the second case. regular notifications are OK. osd are gone.
Hmm - this bug report describes what might be a similar issue, influenced by connecting and disconnecting displays. Could this be related? 477133 – OSD for Volume and KB Layout change doesn't always show Wayland

There’s a fix but no info about it. let’s wait for 6.4 to hit my distro. fingers crossed.
