Hi,
since a while I observe the nasty behavior on different user profiles and systems (all KDE neon): During login a lot of reminder windows are created. All events are outdated. This happens again for the same events during the next login.
Have anyone observed the same behavior? Any idea how to fix this? I use the DAV resource with Nextcloud as server.
Best,
Stefan
yeah nextcloud dav + akonadi does that for me when old reminders never get cleared.
id try:
-open kalendar / korganizer, find those past events, dismiss or delete the reminders once
-akonadictl restart
-if they pop again every login: System Settings → Notifications → Applications → KOrganizer / Kalendar Reminder Daemon, mute popups for a bit
-or wipe the reminder agent bits under ~/.local/share/akonadi/ and restart akonadi
also check the nextcloud calendar event itself for leftover popup/email reminder props. the client keeps recreating local ones from dav.
Deleting the reminders is not an option as this happens also with regular events like birthdays. Also it seems that all of this except muting would be regular job as this also happens with new events. Probably if the reminder wasn’t running on time as the computer was off.
So I think we have a bug as the reminder daemon should has ignore old events. Or just run them once even then this wasn’t on time.
ah so overdue catchup when the machine was off.
id try:
-KOrganizer → Settings → Configure KOrganizer → Time & Date → Reminders, flip anything about overdue / past events
-System Settings → Autostart, check ur not running both korgac and Kalendar Reminder Daemon
-akonadictl restart then log out / in once
if birthdays still dump every cold boot, mute that notification app for now. probably still a bug on neon+dav.
I can’t find the option korganizer, even when starting it directly and not as part of kontact.
There are no entries in autostart but accroding to systemctl there are too services running:
- app-org.kde.kalendarac@autostart.service
- app-org.kde.korganizer@dddc7194f95f4fcaa979ead387207371.service
