I am using Nobara Linux. I occasionally run sudo netstat -utp as a security measure. I did so yesterday and noticed a persistent connection to an IP in a foreign country. The IP doesn’t change and the process respawns when I terminate it with kill -9 kunifiedpush-d . I’m hoping it’s some new “feature” but I’m worried that I got hacked. I’ve wasted a lot of time investigating the process. I would appreciate assistance in the matter.
kunifiedpush is explained at KUnifiedPush 1.0.0 is out! - KDE Blogs
This connection is probably to unifiedpush.kde.org.
Sure enough, that website resolves to the IP I was seeing. Thanks!
