My external monitor is a Gigabyte M27Q. It’s HDR functionality is recognized in Windows, but not by the plasma DE. Is there a lower level option I have to set or a package I’m missing? I tried going through the monitors on screen config and there is no way to force it there.
This appears to be an intel driver issue when using my laptop in hybrid mode with the external monitor connected to the intel usb-c port. I’m guessing the i915 kernel module is not HDR aware. I saw the checkbox appear when in dedicated NVIDIA GPU mode. Who knew NVIDIA drivers did something correctly compared to anyone. So, I don’t think it’s a plasma issue.
