Plasma 6 dock/panel too long on boot

I’ve converted my bottom panel into a dock using these settings:

Upon logging into a Wayland session the dock is slightly extended beyond what is required to fit all icons.

TODO: Insert extended panel image

Entering edit mode and exiting fixes the issue. This seems like a bug but I’m not sure if it’s something in my settings that needs tweaking.
