This is a bug which appeared in a bug report https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=508213 which appeared in an earlier KDE version. The bug report you found (ID 508213) was first reported in 6.4.4 and was marked fixed in 6.4.6.
I’m using Fedora 43 KDE, KDE 6.5.4. My kernel is 6.17.12-300.fc43.x86_64.

Description: I am experiencing a reproducible crash in plasmashell on Fedora 43 (Stable) running Plasma 6.5.4. This appears to be a regression of the issue previously fixed in 6.4.6.
Observed Behavior: Plasmashell crashes with a Segmentation Fault (Signal 11) specifically when the Environment Canada weather station is active.

/usr/lib64/qt6/plugins/plasma/weather_ions/envcan.soto a backup file resolves the workspace instability, confirming this specific Ion is the cause.
