When using the meta + p shortcut to enable my second monitor (the only obvious way AFAIK) the only options to extend are extend to the left and extend to the right which resets whatever position i had set before.
Any way to have plasma remember the last position?
System info:
Session: Wayland
Plasma: 6.0.4
Frameworks: 6.1.0
Qt: 6.7.0
Whenever I plug/unplug my external monitor, the last used disposition is remembered.
However, I would like to use the Meta+P or display-configurations plasmoid to temporarily disable my monitor without unplugging it, then reenable it with the usual disposition.
My use case: my personal and pro laptops share a single external monitor with a dock and KVM feature. Whenever I use my pro laptop on the monitor, I sometimes want to turn on my personal laptop with only the built-in screen, so my windows aren’t sent to the external monitor which doesn’t show them.
I would like it if I could do this with Meta+P rather than unplugging the USB-C cable (which also serves as power supply). Or going to systemsetting etc.
But when I want to switch back to using my personal laptop with the external monitor, I’d like to reenable it with Meta+P in a way that remembers my preferred configuration (namely extend-to-right but with the external monitor being primary and with a big vertical offset).
