Plasma not opening all previous open apps on desktop

This is happening on 1 out of 3 KDE 6 laptops.
On my laptop screen, top left corner I keep the Welcome.
On my external monitor, top left corner I keep about this system.
I have 6 desktops with #1 running Nightly, #3 running the current version of Firefox, and #4 running Waterfox. Also there is 1 window of Dolphin, Spectacle (my fav), and settings showing on all desktops.

After rebooting and login, only Welcome is there. All other app are not open. I always have "On login, launch apps that were open: On last logout set.

Just logging out and then back in produces the same issue.

From another computer, here is what login normally looks like. see screenshot

I can replicate the issue on another computer.
See screenshots before reboot. I reboot, login, and all is gone.

Hi,

quite similar issue here.
I’m on openSUSE Leap 15.5 with KDE Plasma 5.27.9

Dietmar

Looks like a SUSE / openSUSE bug. 1226110 – After plasma upgrade sessions are no longer saved and restored when logging out

I’m going to comment on it because it’s for LEAP, but not Tumbleweed.

It’s fixed for me.
