Kubuntu distro?

Hi KDE team, the implicit window blocking in the Beta for screen capture on certain KDE features (like file select dialogs, screen select dialogs, settings panels) has created an issue with WayVR, a project allowing access to the desktop screens while in VR through pipewire capture.

The windows/features listed above will appear invisible on the WayVR screen but are still interact-able. Using the file select dialogs as an example, from the user’s perspective in VR there is no overlaying dialog, but the mouse will still activate it if the user happens to have their mouse over that location at the time.

Yes this would cause issues with software that already works. if we could get a way to disable this feature or have a solution for it that would be much appreicated

Currently it’s not possible to test Plasma 6.6 with Kubuntu. Qt 6.10 is required by Plasma 6.6, and Kubuntu 25.10 only ships 6.9. In the upcoming Kubuntu 26.04, Qt 6.10 will hopefully be uploaded to the package archive soon, but this hasn’t happened yet.

Thanks for your answer
