since this morning when i start up my pc with KDE plasma wayland my plasmashell is incredibly slow to the point where even opening the app tray takes roughly 30+ seconds between clicking and it opening. it’s making several cores on my cpu run at 100% and according to btop it seems to be plasma-plasmashell.service that is overloading my cpu. applications like terminal and system settings seem to work completely flawless even when i’m mid waiting for the app tray to open, although opening apps like steam or discord do take a lot longer to open even though the do open eventually and also run perfectly fine once they’re up and running. i have also tried different desktop enviornments since i have 2 others installed and both of those seem to work completely fine, it seems to be a problem with plasma-plasmashell.service but i honestly have no idea where to even begin finding a solution to this. i’m on cachyos with both amd gpu and cpu if this helps
Do you have a phone paired with KDE Connect? If so, does un-pairing it help?
