[Possible feature request] Fonts included in Plasma themes?

Hi everyone, I just registered, glad to be here

I’m sure I’m not the first to have this idea and there must be a feature request already, but I can’t find it. If anyone directs me to the right post, I’ll +1 it!

The thing is, I’m planning to make KDE Plasma themes and I’ll include links to recommended fonts. I think that typography has a huge impact on the aesthetics and even ease of use of our themes. For instance, the right pixel font combination could make a retrocomputing theme look a hundred times better and more period accurate, or a lean theme designed to increase clarity would be at its best with specially legible and clean typefaces. Paying more attention to fonts could spark some useful themes, optimized for people with dyslexia or visual impairments.

Wouldn’t it be cool if we could include fonts in our themes with optional installation?
Sure, we can add links that show up on Discover or Pling, but having the font being part of the theme would make it way easier for the user. And it would bring the attention of theme designers to typography, which is a part of desktop customization that is often overlooked.

About font licenses, I’m no expert, but I’m sure there are plenty of open fonts we can use, I know there are many on GitHub. Maybe some packs can be used too, maybe NerdFonts or The Ultimate Oldschool PC Font Pack, correct me if I’m wrong.
