Press middle mouse button to scroll not working under Wayland with Firefox

I’ve noticed that that pressing the middle mouse button on a Firefox window and moving the mouse up or down doesn’t scroll under Firefox, I know it’s not a Firefox issue as the feature works perfectly under X11.

Is this a known issue under KDE Neon?

just worked out the problem. For some reason I have all these extra mice under Settings > Mouse & Trackpad that I don’t even have? I disabled these phantom devices and middle mouse button move to scroll works fine now.

About the additional devices in the Mouse list - no expert here, but as far as I can tell, some physical devices “register” themselves as more than one different kind of device, so they can fulfill different functions.

For example, in that screenshot, your keyboard is also registering as a mouse, probably so you can use its cylindrical turning device as a scroll wheel - I also have a Keychron keyboard, and have something similar in the Device dropdown in Mouse settings.

Hope that helps,

I actually figured out that if I disable ‘Keychron K5 Max Consumer Control’ under Mouse & Trackpad the media functions assigned to my function keys along with the ‘fn’ key don’t work. I re-enabled the above device and all my keyboard media functions work again.
