Problem with adding Image Sequences

Hello my name is Josef and I am working with Kdenlive for some months now. Meanwhile I got some experience and mostly it works fine. But one problem I cannot solve. Sometimes I want to add a Image Sequence at the beginn to give a short description of the video. For that I create JPG files and store them in a separate folder. When I work with a videoclip I click at Add Image Sequence, the folder opens and shows some files xxx.jpg I select one of them and click OK. But then not only this one is added but all the others in that folder also. I have set the sequence duration to 10 seconds. When for example 3 JPG-files are in the folder then the time for the duration is shown as 30 seconds. And later all three images are played one by one. The only way I found is to rename all other images in the folder to xxx.jpg.old Then the desired JPG is the only one left visible and it works how I want it. How can I avoid that?

Kdenlive now is 23.04.3, but it happened also with older versions. I use Windows10

Thank you very much for helping
Josef

An image sequence is a clip Kdenlive puts together from a series of images. If you want to have only one or two images separately you have to import them to the project bin as a clip (I know it’s confusing). You can then drag the image from the bin to the timeline.

Hello Bernd,

yes, that works. Great support. Thank you very much. Now I store the videos and the JPGs in the same folder and select the files that belong together. And I am searching what else „secrets“ Kdenlive has for us users. For example I use an AMD Ryzen 5700X and want to let work as much cores as possible to reduce rendering time.

Best regards
Josef
