QEMU in Plasma 6.1 (global shortcut doubling)

Hi,

I have been using QEMU for a Windows VM for a little while now, and the only shortcut related “issue” I’ve ever had, was that the Meta key would activate both the Host and VM application launchers, and that was trivial to work around.

But now since updating to Plasma 6.1 earlier today, all the global shortcuts are now performed on both the host and in the VM. Making it pretty much impossible to use Virtual Desktops anymore, and most likely a slew of other overlapping shortcuts as well.

I can set up a window rule to ignore all global shortcuts, but then getting in and out of the VM becomes very impractical. Since you have to move the mouse to the top of the screen, wait a bit for a hidden UI to pop out, click a button, (hope nothing crashes when the VM and all it’s windows are resized), click outside the VM window… AND THEN, you can start using you global shortcuts again…

Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Or know a better work-around? Maybe possibly even have an actual fix?

(I use Arch BTW)

I have the same problem on openSUSE Leap with KDE repos (Argon). I searched the bug tracker for something similar, but frankly, it is hard for me to describe it properly on a new bug report.

If you do open a bug on their bug tracker (bugs.kde.org), or find a related bug, please link it back here.
