I use rga to search PDFs:
- Okular glitches when I do
C-Fand I can’t see what I’m searching for and have to double-click to fix the view back into place (on my small PC screen I have set scaling to 250% which is probably the root cause of the issue, but well not everyone has huge monitors) - Dolphin search works but doesn’t tell you page number (followed instructions from KDE Blog
To improve I’d suggest:
- Fix Okular resizing issues (and since it’s also about speed, make sure Okular is using
ripgrep-all)
Specifying which PDF page the result is on on Dolphin would be cool but would perhaps be considered unnecessary by most.
