since some time, I did many distro-hoppings, mainly around Arch-based distros
I first tried Manjaro, and EndeavourOS and now with CachyOS, I think this problem did not happen with X11 but I used Wayland most of the time, I always get random freezes, they are truly random, sometimes with errors on the logs about high temperature for example, & sometimes there is no entry at all
using LTS kernel seemed to ‘lighten’ the problem, but it still happens, just no so often, sometimes those freezes happen when I am asleep so even if I let my laptop for example download something all night, I get a shock when I find that it froze minutes after locking the screen, sometimes also it freezes minutes after a reboot, sometimes all input devices freeze so I only have to watch a picture and a working analog clock until I force restart the device
I found that keeping my monitor active seems to help but even though I disabled on all places turning off the screen, even closing the lid, not entirely, turns off the screen
