Regional settings after reboot

The user list of layouts set in the “regional settings” are always reset to default after OS reboot, maybe after disconnection/re-login too.

I have set fcitx 5 Wayland in “virtual keyboard” pane in “input peripherals” tab in kde settings, then in “regional settings” the user list of layout in the “input method” pane.

Does anyone have a solution for that?

Hi! Two quick questions:

Can you please share your system configuration (operating system, Plasma version, etc.)? The easiest way is via the Info Center app, using the Copy Details button:

Also, would you be able to share screenshots of where you’re changing the settings that are then getting lost? I’m asking as the names of System Settings tabs/sections that you quoted are subtly different from the ones I see on my device, and I’m wondering if you might be on a different/older version of some components?

yeah i forgot these details…

Operating System: Slackware 15.0
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.116.0
Qt Version: 5.15.15
Kernel Version: 6.11.4 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 20 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13700H
Memory: 15.3 Gio of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Graphics

Hmm, this one’s past my expertise I’m afraid - hopefully others with more experience in this area can offer guidance.

Just to check though, have you already gone through the downstream developers’ guide? Using Fcitx 5 on Wayland - Fcitx
