Howdy, I have a large comic collection using Tellico. I have removed a lot of records, is there a cleaning compacting tool to optimise my Tellico database?
It depends on where you’re storing the images associated with your collection. Currently, if you’re saving them outside the Tellico data file, then Tellico doesn’t remove them when you delete the record that includes it. That will change for future releases. For the moment, the best approach is to export to a self-contained zip file (File → Export to Zip) with a different name, then delete the existing data file and re-open the new zip file.
For the collection itself, there’s no need to optimize like you would with a SQL db, for example. The only data saved in the data file is data in the collection, no history or orphan information.
