I had a nasty issue, and want share the solution with you.
When you start with Kden or reïnstall it. The rendering function crashes right at the start of the process.
Solution:**
Controlled Folder Access:**
Check your Windows Security/Defender settings. If “Controlled Folder Access”
(ransomeware protection)
is enabled, it may be blocking Kdenlive’s rendering process. Disable it temporarily or add Kdenlive (and its components like melt.exe) as an allowed app.
