File with 10 layers only, suddenly cannot be ‘saved as’. However, ‘Save’ or Ctrl+S works fine. but when I want to use save as:
"file exists, want to replace? -Yes-
-“could not save file: D/ so and so… - Krita does not support this file format”
Cannot re-open the file from the route, it is only possible to open the file in Krita from ‘start page’
don’t understand have used it always, and suddenly Krita does not recognize its own file .kra~
btw the file can be exported to jpg but for now I need the layers.
From my understanding, .kra~
is a backup file used for recovering lost work. Does it work if you save as a .kra
(without the tilde)?
Dear Thomas,
Thank you, you did direct me to the clue!
“Saving as” without the tilde worked fine on to the C:/ drive.
However my data is on a separate D:/ drive (4Tb) and there the ‘save as’ did not work.
I got the same response from Krita.
Then I tried to copy the file directly from C:/ to D:/ and that gave me the answer:
Drive D:/ is FULL, no ‘room’ for the Krita file anymore. Sh***t
Now I know what to do for the coming days
Thank you again!
Rgds, Tom
