I’ve been using KMyMoney version Version 5.1.90-12e528e for the last couple of weeks. Today, a couple of scheduled transactions came due. From the Scheduled transaction window, when I select ‘enter’, the window closes but the transaction is not entered into the registry.
The following screen shots illustrate what happens;

The problem you report somehow sounds familiar and I think it has been fixed in the meantime. So my first advise would be to update to the latest version and check again. If it still does not work, we’re happy to investigate and fix.
I’ve run into the same problem. Running KMyMoney Version 5.1.90-4369459 on a Windows 11 PC. Attempting to enter a scheduled transaction - tranaction doesn’t enter.
I did notes that if I click on the scheduled payments transaction
and than cancel it the schedule payments will not work anymore,
exactly as you describe.
My work around is to restart the KMyMoney software.
Time to look at some more details: can you please install DebugView++ on your system, start it and then start KMyMoney. Next select the schedule you want to enter but don’t enter it yet. Switch to DebugView++ and clear the output. Then go back to KMyMoney and enter the transaction. What is printed in the DebugView++ window during that time? Can you post that here? Format it as code using the “</>” button for better readability. Thanks in advance.

Ugh, I was able to enter the transaction!
I’ve attached the output. My guess is there’s no value in this log and you’ll want output from when the issue occurs.
I’ll keep an eye on the problem. When it occurs again, I’ll provide a copy of the log.
I started trying to replicate the bug as the first few times I entered the scheduled transactions everything was working as expected. Then it happened, but I did not have Debugview++ running at that point. I tried again the same steps with Dbv++ running but everything worked.
I’ll keep trying again and report back.
Currently on Version 5.1.92-3f8764b, did not have a chance to test on previous versions, however, I was entering a scheduled transaction manually, and initially the behavior was as if the schedule did not process the transaction, meaning after selecting enter next transaction from the context menu, then clicking on Enter from the scheduled transaction details window, the schedule still showed the date of the current transaction. I hesitated for a few seconds before deciding on the next steps, then I decided to try again, and in the split second it took for me to right-click and select Enter next transaction, I saw the schedule actually update and change the date for the next transaction. Then I updated the next transaction (I am 2 days behind) and the update happened as expected.
From this, it appears as if there was a lag before the schedule updated the first time.
