Yes, I have seen this forum post as well, but I am not using amdgpu, using radeon.
I have a Dell Inspiron 660s running EndeavourOS with a Radeon HD 8490. The computer’s screen is distorted sometimes after waking from sleep and the only way to solve it is to unplug then replug the DisplayPort cable. It does not seem like a PCI port issue as this also happened on another computer I plugged the GPU into (a Dell OptiPlex 3020).
The computer is a tri-boot (old pc used for experimental fun) between EndeavourOS, Windows, and Mageia Linux. It does not happen on Windows 10, so it’s not a hardware issue. The mouse cursor looks fine too in the photo as well.
I’m guessing it has something to do with KDE then? Even on the OptiPlex, the distortion would occur with KDE..

Using Wayland, not X11
Nah, not a cable issue, because like I said, it does not happen on anything other than KDE.
However after reading more, it seems as if this is just a problem with the radeon and amdgpu drivers, which will most likely not be fixed as the radeon driver is really old.
Try X11 instead of Wayland.
Mine is also still distorted with Wayland, not with X11. I have not sent a Bug report to Gitlab, since there is over 1100 open AMD GPU issues.
I’m using Debian 12 and Debian is planning to switch to Wayland in 13 next autumn.
I’m considering making a Debian bug report - or just hope that this will be fixed in Debian 13.
