So recently i randomly got a share screen popup, not related to any action, it turned out to be a bug in vscode related to bug reporting where they record your screen (ironic).
But at the time i got a bit paranoid, as i had no idea what application was requesting access to my screen.
I am sure there some log somewhere i could have figured it out from, but after opening vscode another time i figured id out.
Now it would be a lot more user friendly if instead of “the requesting application”, it said the name of the process doing the requesting eg “Visual Studio Code” or “com.microsoft.vscode”, so that is my suggestion.
