Screenmapping in plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc

Hello everyone, new here and excited to join the community.

I was just looking through my plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and i was curious what the [ScreenMapping] section was for. Below it, there are two subsections itemsOnDisabledScreens and screenMapping and I’m also curious to know the purpose these serve too.

It holds a mapping of desktop files to the specific screens you put them on. This way when you plug in another screen, your desktop files don’t jump around.

…In theory at least. It’s known to be a bit buggy. We have hopes to rewrite it for Plasma 6.1 to be fundamentally more reliable.
