2: Hover your mouse over the taskbar app icon to reveal the open windows.
Notice how you cannot access most of them since your screen has finite real estate space.
My first move was to use the mouse to scroll them but it did not work. Second move was click and drag like you would do on a touch screen but it did not work, third move was to use the arrow keys and they did not work either.
Since none of these do anything else in that scenario, it would be kinda cool to have in a future version of KDE :).
In your screenshot, we can see a scrollbar, so it’s a scrollable view. Scrolling with a wheel works too, you just need to do a horizontal scroll by holding down Alt when you scroll.
Trying the left alt + wheel combo does not work.
In case using an external keyboard through a dock was the issue, I also tried on the laptop’s keyboard but still no luck.
Noticed that touchpad horizontal scrolling with two fingers works though!
Horizontal scroll is usually SHIFT + Scroll and not Alt, can you try it ? I don’t know how it is there specifically but its usually shift on most apps and on most OSs.
I was working with alt until i updated 24.04 to 25.04 and installed updates from backports. Now i have fresh apps and wayland.. who is guilty i don’t know but scrolling stopped working.
