Sessions not working

Hi, I am using F42 KDE (fresh install) and everything is up to date. However, when I have some applications open (Kate, Konsole, Firefox etc.) and I restart my laptop, it does not open those applications again. Even logging out and loggin in does not re-open those applications automatically. I checked under Settings->Sessions->Desktop Session and the “Session Restore” is set to “On last logout” but the problem persists. Is there some config file I can update or make any other changes to help enable session restore? Thank you.

Okay, sorry I jumped the gun here. I seemed to have resolved the issue. In settings, I had to change the “Session Restore” to “Start with an empty session” once and then restart the system. Then change “Session Restore” back to “On last logout” and restart again, and then it starts working. I guess we need to change this setting once before it starts working, since by default it does not do the session restore. I’m leaving this note here in case it helps anyone else.
