does anybody know if its possible to configure the size of Tabs in the Search and Replace plugin? Looks like they rendered at 8 spaces per tab, but my code is only 4, so the search results are indented much further than the code itself.
I noticed the same thing in the diff tool. The much wider indentation makes it much harder to read the code as its formatted differently to the source itself.
Kate has such setting in settings. You can define how many spaces a tab would be.
To be clear, I’ve attached a screenshot. I can’t find a setting that would adjust the rendering or layout of the search plugin.
The diff view also renders 8, and has word wrapped enabled as well!
My workaround is to convert all my tabs to spaces. sadface.
You can create a bug and we could try to at least use the default tab size of KTextEditor for the search view, too, if we don’t do that already.
We should add an option to remove spacing to the left, its already requested twice:
Yes, and I guess we should at least in addition use the tab width set in KTextEditor.
