I am using an HP M479fdw for printing and scanning and everything is working great except for one detail.
In SkanLite, the ‘Scan area size’ dropdown has more choices when the ADF is selected in ‘Scan source’ - the flatbed is limited to letter/A4 whereas the ADF can handle longer sheets. But in SkanPage the ‘Scan area size’ dropdown is the same regardless of what is selected as ‘Scan source’, so the ‘Legal’ option is missing. I realize that I could use the ‘Custom’ setting to specify the size of a Legal sheet, but it would be good to have a straightforward way of doing this because it is my wife that does most of the scanning.
Is there a way to get the ‘Legal’ choice to appear in the dropdown when ADF is selected as the source?
Hi! That’s interesting - I never noticed that before (I use Skanpage daily, but just hadn’t tried legal-size paper), but I just tried it on my device and noticed the same behavior you did!
Unless there’s something we’re both missing, this seems like it’d be a good issue to report via the KDE Bugtracking System: Get Involved/Issue Reporting - KDE Community Wiki
