Skrooge newbie: "You modified one part of a transfer"?

A Newbie question, following on from my “Skrooge newbie: introduction” post (can’t link? mostly background info, not really necessary to read)…

If I enter a transfer or a share transaction, which becomes two grouped transactions in two separate accounts, what’s the “correct” way to edit them?

For example, if I forget to change the date on entry, the transaction(s) default to “today”, how do I then change the date to correct the mistake?

I seem to be able to edit each transaction separately, but it gives me the warning “You modified one part of a transfer”.

Is there a way to somehow edit both transactions together, to avoid the warning?

When you select a transfert:

  • You can update only one side of the transfert (tab Standard) and you will have a warning message
  • You can update both side of the transfert by using switching on “Transfert” tab.

Ah yes, in which case I think there could be a bug here?

When I select an existing transfer transaction in a transaction list, the transaction “type”(? - Standard/Split/Transfer/Shares, at the bottom) is selected as “Transfer”, as expected. Modifying the date, changes both sides at the same time with no warning.

However, when I select a Shares transaction, in either the Investment account, or the Cash account, it shows as Standard, rather than Shares, so it isn’t possible to modify them both together and the warning shows.

Also, while a transfer transaction has the double arrow icon in the transfer list, there’s no indication that the Shares transactions are part of a grouped transaction?
