Hi, and welcome to the forum and community.
I am sorry that you prefer the former way of displaying the audio waveform but that recent change was done as part of the overall improvement of handling audio in Kdenlive.
One of the improvements was to implement a zoom function for the audio track. Check the “X1” button in the lower right-hand corner of the audio track header.
And as far as the docs are concerned: We are working on updating the screenshots to the latest version but we are still behind. Sorry for the confusion.
The Razor Tool does not snap to the playhead, just like the playhead doesn’t snap to any object in the timeline when moved with the mouse. That is per design.
Playback fps is tied to the project’s fps settings, so if the project is set to 30fps playback is 30fps and cannot be changed.
There is a Bezier Curves effects that has this capability; the Curves effect doesn’t have the additional handles, though. Not sure whether this is what you meant …
Kdenlive creates backups in that manner only if the project file structure changes. I am wondering why this happens every time you open the same project.
If you want to have that fine a control over the settings, you can create your own render preset and put the bit rate parameter in there.
The title editor is quite powerful, imo, and I don’t see how adding text in a different way avoids the clutter in the project bin. Do you know that you can have folders in the bin and even separate bins?
Please report such crashes via the official bug tracker (instructions here). That’s the only way the dev team can do something about it: knowing about the crashes and trying to replicate it for troubleshooting.
Glad you like it and that it helps you being creative ![]()
