SMART status: more granular notification "urgencies"?

Hi all, currently any S.M.A.R.T. notifications from smartctl are displayed as notifications on the desktop using the Info Center. This is quite nice, but it seems to me there’s only one notification message possible, to the tune of:

Your drive is about to die imminently!!!

When in reality, the notification I received this morning was because the drive was one (1) degree hotter than its threshold… I agree this warning is important to the user (because hotter SSDs are bad for their longevity) however I’d argue this could be surfaced to the user whilst toning down the anxiety… Something akin to:

Your drive is hotter than the manufacturer recommends. This may impact the drive performance and longevity.

However, I don’t know if this is possible: smartctl does report this error as critical, but if we could extract the error type it would probably allow for these more “granular” messages.
